My 18 month old daughter has started doing the dishes for mummy!

Mummy's Graduation Day

Finally mummy attended the graduation ceremony which was overdue for 5 years.

Tried to postpone to November this year, but they told me it's too late, and "you are going to graduate no matter what".

In Bruce Mason centre. On stage receiving my masters degree from Vice-Chancellor at Massey University.

Daddy's Sweet Pie

I was astonished to figure out how my 18 months old daughter understands things surrounding her. I am doing relief class for Sushma tomorrow from 11 to 2pm and my class is from 6 to 9 pm. That means a full on day for me tomorrow. I was preparing lecture slides and doors closed in study. Alina banged the door and came to say Daddy let’s go to lounge and play. This is a natural sequence for her to do. I turned to her and she saw something in my expression- may be before I say Alina I am busy –Daddy needs to work she knew this. I told Alina Daddy needs to work and can’t play or read books to you now, she understood and said “OK Daddy bye” -she walks away. After a minute she came back and said Daddy “door closed”- may be she realised that I prefer to do work door closed. I was touched by her understanding. I went to her ask for hug and she kiss Daddy…this went on for a while. She turned around and said “hug Daddy hug”.

Today- I had this realization she do understand things better than her age. Until yesterday, I did not realized this….I start to question am I too busy with work and PhD that I did not notice this…sometimes ago.

Alina had her first pony tail and Daddy was chasing her with camera

"Daddy, sit, sit. laptop"

wow, that's a cheeky little monkey, just like me:)
